Way over due for a new picture!

Ari just celebrated his first birthday and what a whirlwind the last 6 months have been.... I'm re-committed to keeping this blog updated in a more timely fashion. So for now, here is a new picture of our sweet little guy - I guess a true "toddler" now!

It's Fall!

Get out the sweaters and let's carve pumpkins! Ari is getting ready for his first halloween. (He's going to be a bumble bee so check back in a few weeks for costume photos.) At 5 1/2 months Aris is just beginning to sit up on his own and starting the first stages of crawling....little frog leaps on the floor and scooting backwards are more like it but Ari's determination to reach for his toys is really strong so we're sure he will be crawling soon. A very fun-loving and happy boy we have on our hands! Life is good. Our love to all.

Battling first Cold but still all Smiles!

That's our boy....even though he is battling his first cold and runny nose, Ari is babbling and smiling as he plays in his exersaucer this afternoon. Ari loves to make the toy say the Cow and Dog sounds -- as he listens along! Fall is definitely in Spokane. The sun is still shining but the morning cold and crisp air sure makes us wonder where summer went. Soon the leaves will be turning a myriad of colors as we are already unpacking the fleece jackets and snuggly blankies for our daily walks in the stroller.

The Boys

Daddy and Ari love to enjoy the summer mornings on the back patio -- exploring the sights and sounds of nature and creating some really special bonding times together. Aren't my two men so handsome!

Our Little Man

Ari is just over 3 months old now and really starting to look like a little boy rather than an infant. He's started to go to his play group...aka"daycare" as Mommy prepares to go back to work. The little man of 1,000 different faces is what Grandmamma says!

Ari the Swimmer

It's been a record-breaking hot summer here in Spokane. The neighbors have a new pool so we were able to splash in the sun during a neighborhood pool party! Ari wasn't phased a bit when I dunked him underwater....both parents love the water so we may have a little guppy on our hands.

4th of July

Uncle Steven and Uncle Dan visited over the 4th of July Holiday weekend. Both got lots of Ari "baby candy" time in and we all shared in celebrating with a Sunday stroller walk and Mimosas on the back patio!

Proud New Parents

Lewis and I went out on our first "date" post-baby in the middle of June when I had my 10 year Gonzaga University Class Reunion Boat Cruise on Lake Coeur D'Alene. Not a bad looking couple, almost 7 years of marriage under our belts and a new bouncing, baby boy to fill our hearts and our lives with so much joy!
